Acceptable Use Policy

This policy is part of our Terms of Service. It applies to everything you do with JustClip: the videos and links you submit, the clips you make, and how you use the app, the browser helper and the API.

1. Content you don't have the rights to

Don't use JustClip to process or publish content that:

• you don't own and don't have permission to use in this way (for example, from the creator, under a clipping campaign's rules, or under a licence);
• infringes anyone's copyright, trade marks or other intellectual property; or
• breaks someone's privacy or image rights, or a duty of confidence.

2. Illegal and harmful content

Don't use JustClip for content that:

• sexually exploits or endangers children, in any form;
• is intimate imagery shared without the consent of the people in it;
• promotes or supports terrorism or violent extremism;
• threatens, harasses, bullies or incites violence or hatred against people;
• encourages self-harm or suicide; or
• is otherwise illegal where you are, or in the UK.

3. Deception and impersonation

• Don't make deepfakes or edits that put words in someone's mouth or change the meaning of what they said in a way designed to mislead.
• Don't present clips as endorsed by a person or brand that hasn't endorsed them, and don't impersonate anyone.
• Don't use JustClip for scams, fraud, fake reviews or misleading advertising.

4. AI generation

When you use AI Studio or our other AI generation tools, don't make, or try to make:

• sexual or nude content of anyone;
• anything that shows or involves children;
• the likeness of a real person without their consent. This includes public figures: never show a real person in a deceptive or sexual way;
• deceptive political content, or deepfakes meant to mislead people about a real person or a real event;
• graphic violence or gore; or
• anything that infringes someone else's rights, such as their copyright, trade marks or image rights. Only show a brand or product you own or are authorised to promote.

You must also follow the usage policies of the AI providers whose models we use. We check prompts automatically before anything is made and our AI provider checks what is made, but these checks don't catch everything, and you are responsible for what you make. We may refuse a request, remove what was made, report illegal content to the authorities, and suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

5. Platform rules

Follow the terms of the platforms you take videos from and the platforms you post clips to, including their rules on downloading, reusing and labelling content. Only submit links to videos you're allowed to use this way.

6. Misusing the service

Don't:

• share your account, or resell or white-label JustClip without our written agreement;
• try to get around usage limits, billing, trial checks or security, or probe, scan or test our systems for vulnerabilities without our permission;
• overload the service, scrape it, or use bots or scripts other than through our API and within its limits;
• reverse-engineer JustClip, except where the law allows it; or
• upload malware or anything designed to damage or disrupt systems.

7. Trials, referrals and offers

• One free trial per person and per payment card.
• Don't refer yourself, create extra accounts, or use fake sign-ups to earn referral rewards, commissions or bonus credits.
• If you promote JustClip as an affiliate, follow our Affiliate Terms: make clear that you earn a commission, and don't use spam or misleading claims.

8. What happens if you break this policy

Depending on how serious it is, we may remove content, stop processing, remove rewards gained by breaking the rules, or suspend or close your account (see section 20 of our Terms). Where the law requires it, we will report illegal content to the authorities.
